Saturday July 20th 11-4pm and 7 till late
Minehead Harbour Festival

Visit the Fisherman’s Quarter for a day of fun and laughter, searching for treasure at our pirate party and live band.   The arts, crafts and produce market will bring flavours of the countryside and local authors will be signing books.

Celebrity ships will be visiting in the lead up to the event and it is hoped to effect a cultural exchange of local produce with neighbouring Barry via the tall ship, Irene.

Local boats will be offering trips around the bay and the RNLI open day will include a lifeboat launch.   In the evening they will host a live band and bbq in the station, so you can sit back and enjoy a summer’s evening overlooking the sea.

Sea shanties, storytelling and exploration of this historic area will also be part of the programme.

Feeling energetic?  Take a walk up North Hill for breathtaking views over the harbour, out towards the Welsh coast and across to glorious Exmoor National Park.   Visit the WWII tank grounds, greet the Exmoor ponies and possibly spot our famous  Red Deer.   Why not take a break and stay a few nights to enjoy all we have to offer at a more leisurely pace?  Our b&bs, guest houses, self catering properties, camping and caravanning offer a wide choice to welcome you to our seaside resort and gateway to Exmoor National Park with its stunning and varied scenery, offering wonderful walking and exploring opportunities.
