Explore Minehead, discover Exmoor

Minehead is overlooked by North Hill and we are just outside the boundaries of Exmoor National Park, the cliff exposures around the shoreline are dramatic with exposed fossils.  You can walk or drive to the top of North Hill and watch the sun go down or stroll a while and meet the Exmoor Ponies who roam all over Exmoor.

A ride on the West Somerset Railway is a must and also a visit to our main ornamental park Blenheim Gardens.  If you enjoy a round of golf, Minehead and West Somerset Golf Club is Somerset's oldest golf club, established in 1882.

Minehead offers sea fishing trips from the harbour, or you may to choose to relax on our sandy beach and enjoy the sunshine.

We have a variety of well known high street stores together with independent local shops, there is also a Tesco and Morrisons Supermarket.

The South West Coast Path starts at the sculpture on Quay Street which was erected in 2001, the path follows the coast until it reaches Poole in Dorset, some 630 miles away.
